Manchester NH Celebrates GroundDog Day

Here in NH We decided to celebrate GROUNDDOG DAY!
Here in NH We use Two of  Manchester NH Finest GroundDogs
to make the prediction of a Early Spring!
First it was Manchesters Famous Ground Dog Wrinkles!
Second was Manchester's NH Famous Ground dog Grover!
As Manchester's NH Famous Ground Dogs emerged from the hole!

They Predicated a Early Spring!
Ground Dog Grover Says Bring on the Mud!

We are Hoping that Kalo who has been Missing since Jan 18 from Strafford NH Found a Nice Warm Barn to Keep Warm in during today's storm. Last Sighting was on Sunday Jan 30,2011 on Rt 202A heading towards Rochester.  He was Limping so he is in Need of Medical Attention at this point.  I spent 6 hrs Monday Night looking for him but turned up with nothing! If You are in New Hampshire or Maine Please Cross Post his Picture, Thank You.

We are sure that all of New England was doing quite the happy dance with that prediction. We are enjoying our snow, but we know it won't last long.

Paws crossed for Kalo - so hoping to hear he has been found and will be OK.

Blog Mom is jumping up and down at that prediction. She's really grasping at straws at this point. Not enjoying all that snow the way we are.

Paws crossed for Kalo. I hope he is found and very soon, too.

You asked about sibes and homing instinct. I don't really know. My dogs have never gotten loose, knock on wood. I always walk them along the same route in our neighborhood in the hopes that they would be able to find their way home if they got out. But I do know that a loose sibe can run for miles if that urge to run kicks in. Does the family have another sibe that Kalo was close to? They might try taking him out through their area to see if Kalo would come out. I wish I had more to suggest. I will say some prayers for something good to happen.

I hope your doggies had fun in the snow. I am sorry to hear about your lost dog. Our black lab escaped the fenced backyard late last year, and we searched for days and days and we were lucky enough to find him.
